In the hazard perception test, the driver’s reactions are evaluated under various traffic conditions, including encounters with other vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. In recent years, in some countries, hazard perception skills have been introduced as a mandatory and effective component alongside practical driving training (on-road driving tests) and traffic regulations education (theoretical exams). Studies conducted in these countries indicate the effectiveness of hazard perception training and testing.

In this state, although the user is physically located in a virtual environment, their reactions to the surroundings are natural and consistent with real-world behavior.
