The R&D Manager of this knowledge-based company, in an exclusive interview with the IRIB News Agency reporter, said:
“Our company operates in the field of designing and manufacturing various driving simulators and intelligent driver behavior monitoring systems. The Driver Behavior Monitoring System uses artificial intelligence and specific algorithms to detect driver fatigue and drowsiness, providing warnings to the driver through audio alerts and seat vibration. At the same time, it can also send alerts to the control room of transportation companies or mining sites.”
Oveis Hosseini further explained how the system works:
“In this system, more than 30 different data points from the user’s face, eyes, and shoulders are analyzed using AI. By identifying each user’s behavioral patterns, the system can accurately detect levels of alertness and recognize drowsiness at the right moment, thereby preventing traffic incidents with timely warnings.”
Regarding the system’s accuracy, he said:
“The design of this system was completed in November 2022. It was installed for the first time in the Golgohar mines in May 2023, and after three months, the system delivered its services with approximately 90% accuracy.”
The Technical Director of this knowledge-based company also stated in an interview:
“This system is the result of the efforts of engineers specializing in artificial intelligence, software, mechanics, electronics, and industrial engineering. It includes HD-quality sensors and cameras with night-vision capability, does not cause eye strain for drivers, and is resistant to strong sunlight.”
Navid Faraji listed additional advantages of the system:
“It evaluates user drowsiness based on alertness levels, can be installed on all types of machinery, and offers daily, weekly, and monthly reporting capabilities.”
He added: “The system can connect to the internet via SIM card or through mining site networks, allowing data transmission so that management rooms can monitor the condition of machinery and drivers.”
The Technical Director also noted:
“The system includes vehicle diagnostics (OBD) capabilities, analyzing technical parameters such as engine RPM, engine temperature, and more. These are displayed instantly through the integrated platform, helping prevent serious damage to vehicles.”
The CEO of this knowledge-based company stated:
“This system has received the knowledge-based certification and has been approved by the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology.”
Mosleh Abdolhadi added:
“The system’s resistance to vibration and harsh mining environments, its ability to be continuously updated online, and its correct performance even when the driver is wearing a mask or sunglasses are among its additional advantages.”
